Sister Sparrow and the Dirty Birds have been earning a reputation as one of the hottest live acts on the road today!

"It’s hard to argue with the Sister Sparrow & The Dirty Birds’ recipe: take the choicest bits of classic soul, add shredding musicianship and raise-the-tent gospel energy, then put Arleigh Kincheloe out front to seduce with her magical voice and lightning bolt stage presence.” - The Day

Don’t miss these guys when they help us kick off the Throwdown!

Here in the Queen City we are very close to the epicenter of Bourbon – in all seriousness, more than 90% of the world’s Bourbon is produced in the Bluegrass state!  We are also close to the spirit distilleries that had their roots in the illegal moonshine industry in the Appalachian mountains.

The Ohio River Throwdown is about so much more than music, we want to create a truly unique experience.  We are proudly partnering with Four Roses Bourbon and Ole Smoky Moonshine to provide some incredible festival perks!  We will feature complimentary small batch bourbon and moonshine tastings from 12pm-1:30pm.  Make sure you come out early and try a taste of some amazing local flavors at the Throwdown and celebrate responsibly!

Must be 21+ to enjoy Bourbon / Moonshine.

Based in Richmond, the No BS! Brass Band combines elements of James Brown, John Coltrane, Michael Jackson and Led Zeppelin.  The band embraces the spirit of New Orleans into its original East Coast modern funk. Their danceable arrangements draw inspiration from funk, jazz, klezmer, calypso and classic rock. We could not think of a better way to kick off the Throwdown!

Roots rockers American Aquarium are going to help get things rolling on the Gold Stage!  Make sure you’re not late, you won’t want to miss these guys!

Have you heard Trampled By Turtles new album Wild Animals yet?!?  Man, did they outdo themselves this time.  This band just keeps getting better and better.  We could not be more excited to see this at the Throwdown this year!
